What's studying at IIM Lucknow like?

So, IIM Lucknow is a government-run business school in Uttar Pradesh and it's pretty well-known. It's the fourth IIM, after Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta, so that's a big deal. Some people say politics can be a problem there, but if you can handle that along with your studies, it's still a great place to be.

Most students are really focused on getting good placements after their MBA, so academics aren't always the top priority. Here’s a quick rundown:

Faculty: Some say the faculty is okay, but since everyone's chasing placements, not many students are too worried about the professors.
Ranking: It’s definitely a top management college, usually in the top 6, if not the top 5.
Placements: Placements are decent, but the highest package in 2019 was around 16-17 LPA. Other B-schools might offer better placement packages.
Placement cell: There have been complaints about the placement cell not being managed well, and some students feel there's bias and politics involved.
Alumni: The alumni network isn't super strong, and not many alumni visit or attend meets.
Gender Diversity: Good gender diversity on campus.
Societies and committees: Students join these to boost their CVs for placements.
