What are the placements like at CUSAT, and what's the average salary package?

From what I've heard from friends at CUSAT, the placements can be pretty decent. Here’s a quick rundown:

The student quality has changed a lot over the years, and the cutoffs have almost doubled.
Good companies such as Oracle, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal do visit for recruitment.
However, only a few students actually get through the interview rounds.
You'll need to be a good programmer and keep your CGPA above 8.5.
A lot of students miss out because they lack programming skills or a good GPA. But there are always exceptions – some students crack amazing interviews and land high-paying jobs.
For instance, someone in 2016 got a job at IBM with a package of INR 36 LPA.
Many students also find good opportunities through off-campus drives, so that’s worth a try too.
