What advice would you give to someone joining IIM Lucknow?

So, you're heading to IIM Lucknow? Awesome! Based on what my friend and his seniors shared a few years back, here’s some advice to help you get started:

What to Wear:

A business suit is a must. Girls can go for a saree, but it's not super common.
Pack business formals (full-sleeved shirts and trousers for guys, similar for girls).
You can wear what you like, but keep in mind the profs and library rules.
Lucknow gets super hot in summer and freezing in winter, so plan your wardrobe accordingly.

Stuff for Studying:

You can grab notebooks and pens on campus.
Some students bring their own printers, but you can use the computer center for printing (costs around Rs 1000 to set up, then Rs 500 for refills).
Buy your laptop from outside campus; the deals on campus might not be the best.
No personal Wi-Fi routers allowed.

Important Papers:

Bring all your documents—records, mark sheets, certificates, everything!
Summer placements come up fast, so your past documents will be super useful.
Everything on your CV will be checked, so bring proof.
If you’ve lost something, an email from the right authority will work.

Fun Stuff:

Lots of good movie theaters and places to eat in the city.
You’ll definitely have time for your hobbies.
There are workshops for everything from Salsa to guitar to French.
