Well, the EWS quota can give you a slight edge when you're trying to get into FMS or IIM Calcutta, but it's not a golden ticket. What really matters is your CAT score, your marks in 10th and 12th, how well you did in graduation, and any work experience you've got.

If you've nailed a 99 on the CAT and have a solid academic record, your chances at IIM Calcutta go way up. So, instead of stressing too much about the EWS thing, put your energy into prepping for the CAT. It's a tough competition out there!
