How is Government Engineering College, Kannauj for students?

From what I've heard, Government Engineering College, Kannauj has its ups and downs. A cousin of mine studied there, and they mentioned that construction kind of stalled back in 2016. While there have been some minor improvements, the infrastructure hasn't changed much since then.

Here are some good things about the college:

A lot of the faculty members have degrees from IITs, NITs, and even IIITs.
The teachers are really supportive and guide students well. They help with things like thesis work, research papers, and getting involved in hackathons and conferences.
The CSE, ECE, and electrical branches have pretty good lab facilities. Plus, the libraries have plenty of textbooks and reference books from international publishers covering different subjects.
The canteen has both snacks and full meals available.
There's even an SBI ATM right on campus.

But, there are some downsides too:

The infrastructure isn't great, and all the labs and classes are in one building.
There's no transportation provided by the college.
WiFi is only available on the first floor of the main building, though they might expand it soon.
There's only one hostel each for boys and girls, so many boys end up renting rooms in Tirwaganj.
There aren't really any club activities because there aren't many seniors around during holidays or free time.
So far, no companies have visited the college for placements, so you'd have to find opportunities off-campus or through pool campus drives.

Considering everything, it might be worth exploring other options since the placement opportunities aren't the best.
