IIT Palakkad has three hostels: two older ones and a newer one (H-3). Let's break down what you can expect:

Old Hostels:

Rooms: Spacious enough for two people, with windows, an almirah, and a study table.
Essentials: You'll get basics like a heater and geyser. Water is available 24/7.
Sports: Volleyball court right outside! Plus, there are two TT tables and a gym. You can also use the football/cricket ground and basketball court.
WiFi: No LAN ports in the rooms, but you'll get high-speed WiFi.
Nightlife: Hostel food is decent. The night canteen is open until 12:30 am, and there's a food court in the Ahalia Hospital Complex open until 10:00 pm.

New Hostel (H-3):

This one's pretty fancy. Double rooms with attached baths, study tables, and almirahs. There's a common room with a big smart TV for shows and matches, plus indoor games like table tennis, carrom, and chess.
The common room is for everyone, so you can hang out and work together. There's also a well-equipped gym, martial arts classes, and yoga.
