IIT Bhilai, established in 2016, operates from a temporary campus while its permanent infrastructure is being developed. Despite this, the hostel facilities are quite decent.

Currently, there are three hostels:

Castle Dio: For freshers.
Castle Teresa: Exclusively for girls.
Castle Ena: For senior boys. The mess facility is located at Castle Ena, with a bus service available for students from other hostels.

Some key features include:

Four-seater rooms.
WiFi with speeds up to 2 Mbps, and higher download speeds via laptop (10 Mbps or more).
Indoor games like snooker, table tennis, chess, and carrom. A badminton court is also available (bring your own equipment).
A recreation room with TV.
