Well, from what my friends at Pune University tell me, you should be eligible for placements. Generally, most companies at Pune University look for two main things:

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks (some might accept 55%).
No current backlogs.

So, even if you had a year down or ATKT, it usually doesn't matter as long as you have a decent aggregate and good communication skills. You should be able to get placed without too much trouble.

Some companies might ask about the year down during interviews, but it shouldn't affect your eligibility in HR or technical rounds. You can always explain any medical reasons if needed.
