College Internship Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are inconsistent. Some big companies like D.E. Shaw and Adobe visited one year but didn't return. Don't rely solely on the hyped placements. Focus on building your skills and exploring different opportunities.

Course Information :

The B.Tech ECE program at NIT Jalandhar has an updated curriculum, but the teaching quality is just average. Main professors focus more on research, so don't expect too much direct guidance. It's pretty much on par with other NITs and IITs, nothing particularly special.

Fee Structure :

The fees are around ₹80,000 per semester, which is similar to other NITs. Honestly, it doesn't feel worth it, especially with the online classes. You're paying a lot for a not-so-great online experience.

Faculty :

The faculty is okay, but the main professors are usually busy with their research work. They might not be as involved in teaching as you'd expect. It's a common issue in many NITs and IITs, so don't expect personalized attention.

Campus Details :

NIT Jalandhar has decent infrastructure, but it's one of the smallest NITs in terms of area. It's gotten crowded since 2020 due to increased student intake. The campus is manageable, but it can feel a bit cramped.
