Is Chandigarh University worth it? My honest take

Likes

  • Great infrastructure and facilities
  • Experienced and supportive faculty
  • Lots of extracurricular activities
  • Good campus life

Dislikes

  • Relatively high course fees
  • Placement depends on your hard work
  • Can get crowded during peak hours
  • Some courses need more practical exposure
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

CU provides decent internship opportunities. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment. Students get ample opportunities to gain practical experience and exposure to the industry.

Course Information :

I'm doing my BE in Computer Science and Engineering here, and the course is pretty good. The subjects are relevant, and they keep updating the curriculum. It's a good choice if you're into programming.

Fee Structure :

The fees are a bit on the higher side, around INR 1,80,000 per year now. When I joined, it was INR 1,60,000. But they do offer scholarships, which can help reduce the burden.

Faculty :

Most of the teachers are experienced and know their stuff. CU also takes feedback mid-semester to see how the teachers are doing, which is a good thing. They genuinely care about how well we're being taught.

Campus Details :

The campus is huge and has everything you need. Good classrooms with projectors, tons of labs (like 100!), and more than 14 libraries. Plus, there are sports grounds and courts for almost every sport you can think of. You'll never be bored here.
