Bharath University: Average Infrastructure and Zero Fests

Likes

  • Supportive and friendly faculty
  • Decent placement records in CS
  • Scholarship opportunities available
  • Good connectivity to transport

Dislikes

  • Poor infrastructure in first-year block
  • No fests or events organized
  • Limited sports facilities
  • Average mess food with restrictions
  • Class Size :
  • Course Fees : INR per year

College Internship Opportunities :

The college organizes seminars, but internship opportunities are limited, especially outside of CS. You might have to look for internships on your own. It's not the best in terms of providing practical experience.

Course Information :

I'm doing B.Tech Aerospace Engineering here. The course content covers all the basics, but the teaching quality is just okay. Faculty is supportive, but the syllabus could be more challenging. It's a decent option if you're really into aerospace, but don't expect top-notch academics.

Fee Structure :

My fees are less compared to other colleges, and I got a scholarship based on my intermediate marks. There's an extra 15k per year for career development. Hostels are average, with different fees for AC and non-AC rooms. Mess food isn't great, and there are restrictions on what you can eat.

Faculty :

The faculty are friendly and supportive, which is a plus. They have good experience, but sometimes the teaching feels a bit average. They're always ready to help if you have doubts, but don't expect super innovative teaching methods.

Campus Details :

The campus is in Tambaram, which is convenient because it's close to the railway and bus stations. Chennai airport is about 19km away. The college has a strict dress code and rules. Sadly, there are no fests or events, and sports aren't a priority. The playing ground isn't great either.
