College Internship Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are almost non-existent. I don't remember any good companies coming to our college for placements. You're pretty much on your own when it comes to finding internships. The college needs to focus on building connections with companies to provide better opportunities for students.
Course Information :
I opted for B.Com at AV College, and honestly, it's a mixed bag. The syllabus is okay, but it feels outdated. They need to update the course with current industry trends. Some teachers are really good, but overall, the course structure needs a revamp to make it more relevant and engaging for students.
Fee Structure :
The fee structure for B.Com is quite reasonable, around ₹15,000 per year. It's affordable, especially considering it's a government college. However, there are extra charges for exams and other activities, which can add up. Overall, it's manageable for most students, but be prepared for those additional costs.
Faculty :
The faculty is a mixed bag. Some professors are really experienced and knowledgeable, but they struggle to connect with students. It feels like they're just going through the motions. A few teachers are genuinely interested in helping us, but overall, the faculty needs to be more engaging and approachable.
Campus Details :
The campus is pretty basic. The classrooms have old, broken benches, and the fans probably haven't been changed since the college was established. The computer labs are outdated, with some systems still running on Windows 98! The library is okay, but it's mostly filled with newspapers and subject-related books. Sports are the only saving grace here.
